About

I’m an Engineering Manager at Sonar, where I lead the Integrations Squad: the team responsible for connecting SonarQube Cloud to the tools developers already use: GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, BitBucket Cloud, Jira, and more.

How I got here

I joined Sonar as a software engineer on the Languages Team. In my first year, I worked on a variety of analyzers for Java, PHP, Swift, Apex, C# and VB .NET. After one year, I formally took over the technical leadership of the .NET Roslyn analyzers - continuing hands-on development while guiding technical decisions.

This pull toward organizational work eventually led to a team council member role (when we had a flat, team-based organization in 2020). For three years, I operated with part-time engineering management responsibilities while still coding, gradually shifting focus as the Languages Team scaled from 30 to 70+ engineers. In 2024, we were leading 70+ software developers and AppSec engineers organized in autonomous squads.

During this period, I also built and led the .NET Squad, growing it from one engineer to over ten, with four promotions along the way. That work was equally about scaling processes and people as it was about shipping analyzers.

When the company introduced a formal management track in 2023, I transitioned to full-time EM. In early 2025, I formed the SDLC Data squad, pivoting from language analyzers to full-stack AWS work : the Jira integration for SonarQube. Since 2026, I’ve been leading the Integrations Squad, where we maintain and evolve the DevOps platform connectors that make SonarQube usable at enterprise scale.

How I work

I have a strong technical voice. I like to read the code and understand how our systems work. I also care about how our customers are using the product. I aim to bring clarity in ambiguous cross-functional, ever-changing environments.

I care about observability, production investigation, and business telemetry. When something goes wrong, I want us to know quickly and understand what happened. I expect every engineer in the team to have a learning mindset.

I’ve navigated both flat organisations and more hierarchical ones. I believe in giving engineers trust, ownership and opportunities to grow. And I am there to support when things get complicated.

Earlier

Before Sonar, I wrote software at Microsoft Ireland on the Office 365 commerce platform. Main achievements:
